Walker Mfg., a maker of high-end front-mount mowers and implements, has announced four key product introductions for 2016. The new products broaden and add versatility to Walker's lineup of larger, high-production mowers.
H38i zero-turn mower. This is Walker's highest-horsepower mower ever. Powered by a 38-hp, 999cc Kohler EFI engine, the mower's fuel economy and torque render it ideal for wide-open mowing. Still, the agility of a typical Walker Model H machine is retained. Deck choices include the DR52 and DR64 rear-discharge, and the DS60 side-discharge.
H24d zero-turn mower. Once powered by a Yanmar diesel engine, this mower now features a 23.4-hp Kohler KDW1003 liquid-cooled diesel engine with advanced-injection system—which uses fuel more efficiently while high-efficiency combustion significantly lowers emissions, Kohler assures. Walker says this mower is ideal for municipalities and other commercial-duty, high-production mowing. Deck choices include the DR52 and DR64 rear-discharge, and the DS60 side-discharge
DR64 rear-discharge deck. Walker's new DR64 for the Model H mower has been developed on the heels of the successful DR52. Walker says this rear-discharge/mulching design makes high-production mowing easy. Furthermore, the integrated, six-position, adjustable footrests increase comfort and allow for easier deck tilting without removal.
Utility Bed for the S14nc. You can add versatility to the S14 non-collection zero-turn mower with an optional, bolt-on Utility Bed kit that simply replaces the mower's rear body. A strong gas spring/dampener holds the bed open for easier engine access, while the wide bed lift handle allows easier dumping from either side of the machine.
Each of these new products is in production or scheduled to be in production by early 2016.
