Verizon Connect’s advanced ADAS and DMS AI event triggers enable real-time detection of dangerous driving events and provide audible in-cab alerts to drivers of potential dangers. Customers can transform their fleet safety with in-cab audible alerts and AI event triggers, including tailgating, pedestrian collision, phone call detection, distracted driving, etc. With the AI Dashcam, which has the road-facing camera capturing 140-degree and the driver-facing camera capturing a 130-degree in-cab driver perspective, the focus is to help promote safety, mitigate risk and improve driver behavior. The AI Dashcam begins recording when an engine starts- and using AI technology, it starts to review the footage based on driver behavior triggers. When Verizon Connect's AI Dashcam identifies risky driving, such as indications of fatigue, attention, or phone usage, it issues auditory notifications to drivers and instructs them to take appropriate action. Cloud-based artificial intelligence distills data into meaningful insights, and video footage is automatically assessed for severity and labeled with context, so managers know what is relevant and actionable to enhance driver safety.
