Western Products says its Pro Plus straight blade is built to handle the most punishing applications. It’s ideal for heavy-duty commercial and municipal use.
Power Bar construction provides enhanced torsional strength and rigidity to eliminate the blade twisting that’s often seen in severe use. “A tube is the most efficient structure to stop the blade from rotating around the central horizontal axis during an impact, such as striking a manhole cover with one corner of the blade,” tells Doug Clark, product manager for Western. “A lighter tube can do the work of much thicker, heavier base channels.”
The Wide-Out adjustable-wing snowplow from Western provides an 8-foot straight blade, 9-foot scoop and 10-foot extended straight blade, all in the same plow.
“The Wide-Out is most useful for those contractors who are facing a number of different job requirements,” says Doug Clark, product manager for Western. The diverse array of properties prevents these contractors from specializing their blade of choice. Thus, Clark points out, the Wide-Out excels when the contractor must carry as much snow as possible, as is the case in parking lot-type situations.
The new Western HTS snowplow is a full-size, full-featured snowplow designed specifically for today’s lighter half-ton 4WD pickup truck.
The new Western Tornado poly hopper spreader features a rugged, rust-proof, one-piece poly design, dual electric conveyor and spinner motors, and a variable-speed controller to meter material flow. Tornado spreaders are available in 7' or 8' lengths, with 1.5-, 1.8- or 2.5-cubic yard capacities.
