Vermeer Sales Southwest Inc. (VSSW) has relocated its Albuquerque location to a new, expanded facility.

The previous facility, which opened in 2000, was only 6,000 square feet. The new building is 13,000 square feet on 2.5 acres of land.

“We are excited about our new location and the new opportunities it affords us,” said Kyle Pieratt, chief financial officer of Vermeer Sales Southwest. “The timing was right for this investment for many reasons, but most importantly, for our employees and customers. This new facility reinforces our commitment to the marketplace and our unending desire to take care of our customers.”

VSSW purchased the building and invested $350,000 for improvements to follow the 5S lean manufacturing philosophy, and interactive technology and visual displays for a more positive customer experience.

VSSW opened in Gilbert, AZ, in 1989 and services the Arizona, New Mexico and Las Vegas areas. The company provides full-service sales and support of Vermeer-branded products, including horizontal directional drilling systems, utility and track trenchers, mini skid steers, as well as tub and horizontal grinders, brush chippers, stump cutters and tree spades.
