Gravely Outlines X-Factor Deck Improvements

Improved spindles and optimized chute among design changes to bolster durability and enhance cut quality.

Gravely has implemented several design improvements to its 7-gauge, commercial X-Factor deck.

The deck now features improved spindles, a new chute profile, an enlarged discharge opening and standard baffles. Upgrades to the X-Factor deck affect side-discharge decks on all Gravely Pro-Turn models, as well as the ZT HD.

Gravely says its spindles, already covered by a three-year warranty, have been enhanced even further. Design changes, improved materials and better assembly result in improved bearing life and keep the assembly intact under the demands commercial cutting, according to the company.

An optimized chute is also new. The chute is 0.75 inches shorter and 1.5 inches longer from front to back to disperse grass more evenly and reduce windrowing. The larger discharge opening is also designed to improve dispersion. Adjustable baffles will now be standard on the Pro-Turn 400, 200 and 100 models, allowing the deck to cut at peak efficiency in various conditions.
