The National Landscape Awards of Excellence (formerly the Environmental Improvement Awards), managed by PLANET, the national landscape industry association, recognizes superior work in the areas of landscape, lawn care, and interior maintenance, design/build as well as installation, container plantings, and erosion control.
“Once again the awards committee was wowed by the excellent work submitted by applicants,” said Dennis Karem, awards subcommittee chair. “These awards show clients and the public that the industry is executing work of the highest standards.”
This year, 105 entries were recognized with an award in the following categories: 35 Grand, 34 Merit, and 36 Recognition.
Recipients will be recognized during a multimedia show of all of the winning projects during the PLANET Awards & AEF Recognition Ceremony at the Green Industry Conference in Louisville, KY, on Oct. 25, 2013.
Four of the winning entries will also be selected to receive the highest award, the coveted Judges Award, which will be announced live at the awards reception along with the “Audience Choice” award winner who will be chosen based on live input from the audience.
Caterpillar is the sponsor of this year’s awards reception and presentation.
