New Program Gets People Interested in Landscaping Careers

Center helps people “get lives and families together” through skills training, community outreach; lawn care and snow removal service recently launched.

The St. Luke New Life Program in Flint, MI, has long helped women who were struggling financially by teaching them how to be seamstresses so they could earn a better living. Now the Center is looking to also help men, and has recently launched a lawn care and snow removal service.

Check out the story and video from ABC12 in Flint.

The goal of the eight-man lawn care team is to help clean up some neighborhoods on Flint’s north side.

The men are paid through grants and donations. Some hope to use the skills they’ve learned to start their own lawn care companies some day.
