Ariens Company announced a wide variety of new products under both the Ariens and Gravely brands at an October 23 press conference at GIE+EXPO 2014.

New models in both the Gravely Pro-Turn 200 and 400 Series of commercial zero-turn riding mowers feature the new Kohler Command PRO 824cc EFI engine for additional power and performance with reduced fuel consumption thanks to the engine's electronic fuel-injection technology. The two models are rated at 29 and 33 horsepower, respectively.

Additionally, the Gravely Pro-Walk Hydro intermediate walk-behind mower is now offered in liquid propane, as is the Gravely Pro-Stance stand-on mower (pictured). "This rounds out a full lineup of liquid propane commercial mowers from Gravely," said John Horn, vice president of sales for Ariens Company.

Snow Removal. The Ariens Platinum 24 SHO (super high output) snowthrower can reportedly handle up to 16-inch snowfalls. "This snowthrower is ideal for (driveways) with two- or three-car garages," Horn said. The Platinum 24 SHO features a 55-foot throw distance, 24-inch width and 21-inch height. It's also a dealer-exclusive product not available at Home Depot or other mass merchant retailers.

Also on the snow removal front, Ariens reintroduced its Power Brush, which was first introduced at GIE+EXPO 2013. "We're finding many more uses for the brush, such as debris cleanup and sidewalk sweeping, in additional to snow removal," Horn said. The Power Brush is offered in several versions from 28 to 36 inches.

The Gravely JSV Atlas utility vehicle (pictured) is designed to do heavy work, appealing to a variety of demanding clientele including landscape contractors and farmers. Please visit this related story for a closer look at the JSV Atlas.
