Pure Solutions, a prominent New England provider of National Organic Program-compliant tick and mosquito control, announces the acquisition of Newton, MA-based Pure Lawns Inc. This acquisition will expand Pure Solutions’ never-ending commitment to making backyards safer through the reduction of toxic chemical usage in communities.
“Mosquito control has always been synonymous with dangerous chemicals, and providing a safe alternative is why we started Pure Solutions,” says Pure Solutions co-founder, Trevor Nelson. “Turf care has many of the same negative environmental impacts. That is why we set our sights on the turf care industry as the next step for expansion.”
With the acquisition of Pure Lawns Inc., Pure Solutions continues to offer innovative, environmentally sustainable outdoor solutions to residential and commercial properties without sacrificing results. “Our vision is for every New England household to have access to safe and effective alternatives to harmful chemicals used in their yards,” says Nelson.
Pure Solutions will offer Pure Lawns’ organic turf care program to its nearly 2,000 residential accounts across New England starting spring 2016. This would significantly reduce chemical usage in New England communities, and be a huge accomplishment in their mission of sustaining the environment for future generations.
For Peter DiClemente, founder of Pure Lawns Inc., his more than 30 years of experience in lawn care and gardening have helped him craft one of the most respected organic turf care companies in Massachusetts. “Over the years, I started to pay more attention to the dangers of chemicals in lawn products and the risk they pose to our children and pets,” says DiClemente. “We’ve had great success with maintaining lush green grass without any chemicals and believe whole-heartedly an organic lawn is achievable.”
A CDC study showed that children ages children ages 6-11 have higher levels of lawn chemicals in their blood than all other age categories, which can increase susceptibility to cancer. “Growing up in New England, my fondest memories are of being outdoors,” says Pure Solutions’ co-founder, Brian Whittemore. “I want to make sure the outdoors are safe for my family and future generations, especially at home.”
DiClemente will join the Pure Solutions team as director of its new Turf Care division. “It was a natural fit; we share the same vision and our solutions complement each other. I look forward to providing my organic approach to lawn management to more families across New England,” DiClemente says.
