Grasshopper says its PTO-driven DriftBuster snowthrowers deliver no-clog performance—even in deep or heavy, wet snows. “The high-speed auger is probably the most crucial component that contributes to the performance of the snowthrowers,” says Mike Simmon, product specialist with The Grasshopper Company. “This is by virtue of design, as well as direct coupling of the auger shaft to the PTO.”
By controlling the ground speed of the power unit (mower) with the steering levers, and the auger speed with the throttle, the operator can adjust the forward speed to the snow conditions.
