Toro’s 18-inch power rake features the same intuitive, user-friendly controls as Toro’s commercial walk-behind mowers. It has 22 flail blades on a 1.5-inch spacing that are automatically engaged by the unit’s centrifugal clutch, instead of a belt tensioner, so dethatching is maintenance-free.

- Product From Ariens Company
The Hydro Brush 36 is the newest addition to the Ariens Power Brush line. New for 2013, the Hydro Brush is an all-season machine capable of moving snow, sand, dirt and gravel.
The hydrostatic transmission on this unit has been engineered in partnership with Hydro-Gear. Designed with a thermal management system to prevent overheating, the Hydro-Gear RT-210 transmission allows for infinite speed control, smoother operation and minimal maintenance. Speed can be adjusted while the power brush is still moving, eliminating the jumping or lurching with speed changes. The drive system’s synthetic oil will not break down like conventional oils and does not require adjustments, meaning it’s maintenance-free.
- Product From TrynEx International
TurfEx offers the Thatch, Groom ‘N’ Sweep Package, an attachment system designed especially for zero-turn mowers. The versatile attachment can be converted from a sweeper to dethatcher without having to purchase additional equipment. The Thatch, Groom ‘N’ Sweep Package uses a universal mount that easily fits the form of most major manufacturers’ zero-turn mowers. The attachment includes two rows of brush sections, which can be replaced with spring-mounted tines to turn the sweeper into a dethatcher in minutes. To switch between the two, remove the containment plate, and then slide the brush or tine sections in and out of the housing.

JRCO Inc. manufactures a line of heavy-duty attachments for commercial mowers. All seven front-mount products attach with clevis pins to the JRCO universal mount bar. The JRCO Tine Rake Dethatcher (pictured) will give you a quick spring green-up by removing embedded thatch and leaves, and combing up matted turfgrass while mowing. Flexible tines allow zero-turning while raking. It is available in 36”, 46” and 60” widths, and quickly attaches to the JRCO universal mount bar with clevis pins.

Walker says its 40-inch Spring Tine Dethatcher is its best-selling attachment that is especially popular among professional cutters for use in clean-up duties.
