S400TX Mini Skid Steer

The Vermeer S400TX mini skid steer, designed for rental and landscape contractors, features a 23 hp (17 kW) gas engine which produces 15 percent more horsepower than competitive models. Two joysticks, which control transport and boom/bucket motion, can be operated while holding onto an integrated hand-grip bar. The location of the joysticks and the hand-grip bar help the operator to maintain control of the machine and maintain their balance. Ground drive is controlled by a single joystick, and provides a smooth range of motion while operating the unit. The S400TX delivers a tipping capacity of 1,430 pounds (649 kg) with a rated operating capacity of 500 pounds (227 kg) and a maximum 69 inches (175 cm) lifting height.
