Survey Exposes Contractor Buying Intentions in 2013

Despite all of the talk about fiscal cliffs and economic uncertainty, the landscaping industry keeps chugging along at roughly 4% annual growth. Many contractors have remained busy and expect good things in 2013. Thus, many are in need of updating and/or expanding their equipment fleets.

A fall 2012 Green Industry PRO magazine survey of landscape contractors sheds some light on which types of equipment contractors plan to buy and/or rent in 2013. The most likely are:

• Trimmers, etc. – 68%
• Mowers – 62%
• Blowers – 49%
• Trucks – 41%
