The 4,277-pound TB216H features both an electric motor and diesel engine with its own pump group to power the hydraulics.
Power can be provided by either the 14.9-hp Yanmar Tier 4 Final engine or its 14.2-hp electric motor. For 100% emissions-free operation, simply plug into a 400- to 480-volt three-phase power source. The diesel engine will automatically shut off and the machine will begin to run off electric power once the key has been cycled.
The ignition, throttle, joysticks and travel functions are the same regardless of the power mode selected.
Machine capabilities include a 4,250-pound maximum bucket breakout force, 1,843-pound maximum arm crowd force, 7’10” maximum dig depth and 13’5” maximum reach. The undercarriage retracts from 51.2 to 38.6 inches, and bolt-on extensions enable blade width to match undercarriage width.
