Country Clipper Donates to Disabled Veteran

Iowan Jordan Brown presented with a Country Clipper zero-turn riding mower.

Sergeant Jordan Brown faithfully served our country for seven years. During his second tour in Iraq, Jordan broke his left arm. He later learned that cancer was the underlying cause of the break. The cancer is gone now, along with his left arm.

Jordan, his wife Monica, and their two daughters now live on a small farm in Southern Iowa. Mowing the two-acre farm lawn would normally be Jordan’s responsibility, but Monica did this last year with a hand push mower.

Jordan has been working with Operation First Response to help other wounded veterans. Following an interview at Des Moines radio station KGGO for this cause, Jordan was surprised with his very own joystick controlled zero-turn riding lawn mower, donated by Country Clipper.

“We knew this would work so well for him,” says Carl Shivvers, President. Country Clipper says its joystick steering was designed for easy one-hand zero-turning control and proved to be a great fit for this American hero—who promptly displayed his skills by zipping around the KGGO parking lot.

Operation First Response supports our nation’s Wounded Heroes and their families with personal and financial needs. Services are provided from the onset of injury, throughout their recovery period and along their journey from military life into the civilian world. Financial aid varies as each case is based on individual needs ranging from rent, utilities, vehicle payments, groceries, clothes and travel expenses.
