Parts Companies Taking a Proactive Stance

The Outdoor Power Equipment Aftermarket Association (OPEAA) has announced its 2011-2012 officers and directors; member companies looking to take a more proactive stance with respect to regulatory and legislative issues affecting the Green Industry.

The Outdoor Power Equipment Aftermarket Association (OPEAA) has announced its 2011-2012 Officers and Board of Directors.

Officers for 2011-2012: OPEAA President Mike Watts, Better Heads LLC; OPEAA Vice President Dale Marcell, Oregon Cutting Systems; OPEAA Secretary/Treasurer Jim Paugh, NGK Spark Plugs; and Immediate Past President Sue Chaney, K-C Sales Co., LLC.

Continuing their service on the board are: Jeff Andrews, Desert Extrusion; Jeff Jerousek, MTD Products (Arnold); Barry Stiles, Stens Corporation.

Newly elected to the OPEAA Board of Directors are: Eric Gunderson, Jarden Applied Materials; Arnaud Legrand, Speed North America; Walter Rieck, Prime Line Power Equipment Products; and Chris Roessler, Rotary Corporation.

“As OPEI begins its second year of managing OPEAA, we’re enthusiastic about the proactive stance being taken by the OPEAA board as the association becomes more involved in the regulatory and legislative issues that affect our industry,” said Jean Hawes, senior vice president of finance and administration at OPEI.

The Outdoor Power Equipment Aftermarket Association, established in 1986, promotes the quality of replacement parts as an equivalent and economical means for the maintenance and repair of power equipment. The Association promotes a better understanding among power equipment dealers and retailers of the capabilities of aftermarket manufacturers, distributors, and importers in providing products and services necessary to meet the needs of its customers.
