Local Officials Tell Homeowner to Back Off Landscaping

An Indiana homeowner had invested thousands of dollars in landscape; he planted new shrubs, trees, flowers and ornamental landscaping that covers his yard in a neighborhood where some properties have withered. And now, local officials are telling him to cut the plants back or face fines.

Officials say the plants obstruct the view of motorists, but this homeowner thinks something else could be behind the move.
