Caterpillar is rolling out four new D Series Skid-Steer Loaders and updating two current D Series machines to create the new D Series line featuring a completely redesigned cab, new lift arm design for improved sight lines, and increased engine performance. The four newest D Series models are replacements for Cat's B3, C and C2 Series predecessors.

Two new models are the 246D and 262D large-frame machines with rated operating capacities of 2,150 and 2,700 pounds.

One of the redesigned machines is the 236D mid-frame model, which now features a smaller platform size, 1,800-pound operating capacity, and 195 lb-ft of peak torque.

All D Series models feature Caterpillar's Cab-One structure, a one-piece modular construction as opposed to the two-piece cab design found on some other skid steers. Caterpillar says its design provides superior sealing, which allows doubling the cab pressurization attained with the previous design.
