Harrell's Names New CEO and Chairman

Employee-owned Harrell’s appointed current Harrell’s President and COO Jack Harrell III as its new CEO and chairman of the board, in addition to his current title of president of the company.

Jack Harrell III succeeds his father and former CEO and chairman of the board, Jack Harrell Jr., after his recent passing.

“It is an honor to take on this new leadership role. To be the fourth generation Harrell to lead this company means a great deal to me," said Jack Harrell III. "Following in the footsteps of my great-grandfather, grandfather and father is a tall task and one I do not take lightly. It is impossible to replace my father, but I will work every day to honor the legacy and culture he created by doing all the things he taught me and instilled in me. I look forward to continuing to work with our Vice Chairman Dave Schermerhorn as my father did for the last 20 years. It is an incredible honor to get to lead this great team at Harrell's.”

The news comes from the company’s corporate office in Lakeland, Florida, where Jack III was elected unanimously by the Harrell’s board of directors. Jack Harrell III has been working at Harrell’s for more than 15 years, dedicating his entire career to the company, and is looking forward to leading the charge into the future of Harrell’s.

Ditch Witch Commemorates Groundbreaking of New Oklahoma Facility

Shovels in hand, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt and other state dignitaries recently helped celebrate the groundbreaking of a new 170,000 square-foot paint facility at the Ditch Witch factory in Perry, Oklahoma. The event was a part of a stop from The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Express Tour of manufacturing companies across the country.

The new paint line facility is expected to bring up to 100 new jobs to the area and will help drive greater operational efficiencies and capacity to better serve customers. Celebrating 75 years in business, the expansion further reinforces the company’s long-standing commitment to Perry and the State of Oklahoma and positions the company to support future growth in the underground construction industry.

“What we do matters. Within the first 30 minutes of your day, the work that we do makes a positive impact on people’s lives,” said Kevin Smith, vice president of Ditch Witch. “The first thing you do in the morning might be check your cell phone and look at the weather, or social media. We helped bring that into your hands. Then you flip on the light switch. We helped deliver that power to your house. This investment in the Perry facility will help expand our manufacturing capacity, reinforces our commitment to the many customers we serve around the world, and ultimately helps us continue to produce the world-class products Ditch Witch is known for well into the future.”
