Landscape Workshop Acquires Willis Landscaping

Lw Logo Rgb ColorLandscape Workshop has acquired Willis Landscaping Inc. (“Willis”), a well-respected provider of high-quality landscaping services in Lynchburg, Virginia. This strategic acquisition — Landscape Workshop’s fifth in Virginia — strengthens the company’s foothold in Lynchburg, Roanoke, and Charlottesville, advancing its mission to deliver premium commercial landscaping and grounds maintenance services across the region.

Willis has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality landscape services across the Lynchburg area. This acquisition supports Landscape Workshop’s goal of offering premium grounds management services while expanding its presence into new markets.

"We are excited to expand our presence in Virginia through the addition of Willis Landscaping to the Landscape Workshop family," said J.T. Price, CEO of Landscape Workshop. "Combined with our recent partnership with Chris and Trevor Templeton and the CLC team, the addition of Todd WIllis’ team will give us the ability to provide even more extensive services to our customers in Lynchburg, Roanoke, and Charlottesville. Willis’s strong local reputation and experienced team will be instrumental in accelerating our growth throughout the region."

LawnPRO Acquires Concored Custom Lawn Care LLC

Lawn Pro Partners Logo (color) (002)LawnPRO Partners acquires New Hampshire-based Concord Custom Lawn Care, LLC. Since its inception in 2002, Concord Custom Lawn Care has steadily grown over the years by providing excellent customer service and exceptional results. With their dedicated team of lawn care professionals, Concord Custom Lawn Care’s core service offerings include lawn care, grub control, disease control, aeration, seeding, insect and mosquito control.

“Having been in the lawn care industry since 1980, I was ready to retire and move on to the next endeavors of life,” said Tim Doyle, owner of Concord Customer Lawn Care. “The decision to sell my business wasn’t easy because we had a tight-knit team. My focus was finding a partner that would take care of my people and not turn their lives upside down. As a small business owner, I didn’t have the ability to offer the same level of personal growth to my employees that LawnPRO could offer.”

“The excellent reputation that Concord Custom Lawn Care has in its local market made it a natural addition to our existing New Hampshire footprint,” said Bill Viveen, CEO of LawnPRO Partners. “It is with great excitement that we welcome the Concord Custom Lawn Care team to the LawnPRO family of brands.”

Since the closing of the transaction, Tim has retired from the business after 37 years in the industry. All other Concord Lawn Care employees will be retained as part of the transaction.

The move strengthens Arbor Masters’ presence in Iowa’s northern corridor and expands its ability to meet rising residential and commercial tree care needs.

TreeHugger has always been a family mission. It was founded by ISA Certified Arborist Denny Deakins, built in the field alongside his son, Sean, also an ISA Certified Arborist, and anchored by his wife, Dawna, who led office operations and customer care. Together, they built a strong reputation for professionalism, integrity, and doing the right thing for both people and trees.

“There were several factors that made TreeHugger the perfect fit,” said Bernie Zarda, CEO of Arbor Masters. “First, the people. The Deakins family wanted to stay on and become part of our team. Their skill sets fit very nicely into our branch. Second, their customer base gave us exactly what we were looking for: a strong presence in Ankeny, an area we’ve wanted to serve more comprehensively for years. But most importantly, our cultures are completely aligned on how arboriculture should be performed. Both companies are passionate about saving the urban canopy in the Des Moines metro and focusing on comprehensive tree care, not just removal.”

Homeowners and commercial clients in Ankeny, Altoona, Johnston, Bondurant, and surrounding areas can expect a stronger, faster, and even more capable team on the ground. For Central Iowa, it means:

  • More certified arborists available to assess and care for your trees year-round
  • Faster response times, especially after storms, thanks to a new northern hub operating out of TreeHugger’s original Ankeny location
  • Expanded plant health care programs, with the support of Arbor Masters’ full PHC division
  • Improved scheduling and dispatch, with more local crew members and equipment now stationed in the northern metro
  • Continued support from the same familiar team, with added resources behind them
