Leader in Masonry Awarded ASTM Honorary Membership
The Concrete Masonry & Hardscapes Association (CMHA) announced that Nick Lang, CMHA Vice President of Engineering–Masonry, has been awarded Honorary Membership by ASTM International Committee C15 on Masonry–Manufactured Masonry Units, Mortars and Grouts in recognition of his decades of leadership and contributions to the development of masonry standards. Honorary Membership is one of the highest distinctions granted by ASTM committees and is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated sustained, high-level contributions that advance technical excellence and industry progress.
Lang has been actively involved with ASTM since becoming a member in 2006 and has played a central role in shaping standards that guide concrete masonry manufacturing and testing across North America. He has served as Chair of Subcommittee C15.03 on Concrete Masonry Units and Related Units, Recording Secretary for Committee C15, and has contributed to numerous task groups focused on advancing industry standards.
In addition to continuing his technical leadership, Lang plans to focus on mentoring the next generation of industry professionals and encouraging greater participation in ASTM committees.
