Toro rolled out several new products at GIE+EXPO 2013, including two new Z Master commercial zero-turn riding mowers, five new Titan consumer zero-turn mowers, and a new Recycler consumer-grade push mower with fold-up capability (pictured). Also shown were Toro's new power broom and single-stage commercial snowthrower.

Z Masters. The Z Master zero-turn mowers feature Turbo Force rear-discharge decks, offering contractors enhanced productivity in more demanding, taller grasses. The counter-rotating spindle of the rear-discharge configuration allows for more even dispersal of clippings, Toro says. Two new models are being offered: 25- or 26.5-hp Kohler Command Pro EFI propane engine, with 60- or 72-inch deck.

Horizon Technology. Toro also talked about its Horizon Technology at its GIE+EXPO press conference. Horizon is an on-board intelligence platform which helps contractors maximize both productivity and cost-effective operation, while also helping to safeguard against catastrophic engine/machine failure. Horizon is offered on two Z Master commercial zero-turn models: a 34-hp Kohler Command Pro EFI with 60- or 72-inch deck. Horizon is similar to RED Technology as offered on select mower models of Toro's subsidiary, Exmark.

Snow Products. Toro discussed a couple of its new snow products, including its 36-inch Rotary Broom which made its official debut earlier this year. Additionally, a new single-stage commercial snowthrower was unveiled. The snowthrower features an enhanced, more ergonomic handle, a larger engine, and double-the-life paddles.

Titan Zero-Turn Mowers. Five new models of Titan consumer zero-turn mowers were unveiled. Prices start at $4,999—which helps appeal to a larger segment of the prosumer market where durability is important but so is price point. The new 2X Series features a heavy-duty frame and components, Kawasaki engine, and flip-up floor pan to make servicing easier. The MX Series offers a deluxe padded seat on suspension for added comfort, along with an improved, longer warranty.

Fold-up Mower. Toro launched its "Get Your Garage Back" campaign with the introduction of its new Recycler consumer walk mower with SmartStow. SmartStow can help homeowners reduce their mower footprint by 73% when in storage, helping free up valuable garage space. This fold-up features also makes it easier to clean the underside of the deck and sharpen blades. This mower will be available at Toro servicing dealers and Home Depot.
