Hardscape North America 2017, an ICPI event, has announced two of its Conference Sessions that will address some of the hardscape industry's most pressing issues. Led by first-time HNA speaker David Murray, Conference Session 204 will cover "OSHA's New Crystalline Silica Regulation." Also new to the Conference Session agenda is Todd Bairstow, whose previous Contractor Briefing on "Lead Generation Myths" received such positive reviews that the topic will now be a full 2017 Conference Session titled "Emerging Online Lead Generation Trends for Residential Hardscape Businesses."
David Murray to Update the Industry on Crystalline Silica Regulation
OSHA's recently released silica exposure rule reduces the allowable exposure to silica dust on job sites and increases fines if not followed. A session on this topic will be facilitated and led by David Murray, Safety and Health Consultant for the State of Nevada, at this year's HNA to explain how contractors can comply with the new law. Murray will explain the detrimental effects of silica when inhaled from saw cutting products made from concrete, clay, stone and porcelain. Additionally, the HNA Conference Session will cover how to:
- Measure dust inhalation on job sites
- Create a plan and safety equipment selection for minimizing exposure
- Designate a competent inspector and staff training
- Provide employee medical surveillance
- Comply with OSHA recordkeeping requirements
The "OSHA's New Crystalline Silica Regulation" Conference Session is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 20 at 3:00 p.m. as one of the eight HNA Conference Sessions.
Todd Bairstow to Discuss Online Lead Generation at Conference Session
Contractor and online marketing expert, Todd Bairstow, will present a full Conference Session at HNA on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. titled "Emerging Online Lead Generation Trends for Residential Hardscape Businesses." Featuring an array of data, this session will discuss how homeowners are really behaving online - and how residential hardscape businesses can leverage this behavior to grow sales. In a still rapidly-growing field, Bairstow is a 12-year veteran of the "Pay Per Lead" business model and performance-based business philosophy. Bairstow will share how contractors can tap into a new marketing stream to generate new business.
Additional details about HNA 2017 will be released in mid-May with registration also opening in mid-May. For an up to date schedule and details as they are released, visit www.HardscapeNA.com.
