Central Turf & Irrigation Supply Inc., a North American wholesale distributor of irrigation, landscape, lighting and equipment supplies, and a service provider of technical solutions for contractor projects, has appointed Alan Edwards as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer. Edwards has advised the firm for many years on strategic projects and long range planning. The position was created to fulfill the need for long-range planning, processes and infrastructure for continued expansion and growth.

Edwards is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Global Management Accountant, and holds a Masters in Business Administration. He has held the chief financial officer position for several public and privately held companies in the landscape, irrigation, and swimming pool industries.
