Positive Industry Message Reaches the Masses

NALP’s Industry Growth Initiative launches spring media campaign, CNN coverage helps reach 1.3 million viewers.

The National Association of Landscape Professionals’ Industry Growth Initiative has launched its spring media campaign to promote the benefits of healthy lawns and landscapes. The campaign has already received coverage in top national media outlets like CNN Headline News and others.

The news network has aired numerous segments with NALP’s VP of public affairs, Missy Henriksen, sharing advice about healthy soil and grass as part of National Lawn Care Month. NALP’s messaging has been seen by more than 1.3 million HLN viewers alone. The network is expected to air other segments featuring NALP in the coming weeks.

“We are thrilled with these opportunities to strengthen the industry’s voice to consumers,” Henriksen indicated. “We want to help home and business owners understand the benefits offered by healthy landscapes and promote the value offered by industry professionals. Our recent efforts in that direction, starting with the launch of our new consumer site, and now the expansion of our media presence, are all part of NALP’s new Industry Growth Initiative.”

The Industry Growth Initiative was launched last fall with a goal of raising the visibility of professional landscape and lawn care services in order to grow and protect the industry. Much like other industry public awareness campaigns that get their funding from companies with a stake in its success, the IGI relies on funding by landscape and lawn care companies and industry suppliers.
