Agrium Announces Alliance with Dow and Syngenta, Sponsorship of Hispanic Landscape Group

Popular controlled-release fertilizer now paired with two of the leading crabgrass preventers; sponsorship of NHLA shows support for growing Hispanic-American workforce.

Agrium Advanced Technologies (AAT) announced the addition of Spread it & Forget it Controlled-Release Fertilizer with Barricade Pre-Emergent Herbicide from Syngenta, in addition to Spread it & Forget it with Dimension Specialty Herbicide from Dow.

This move brings together three of the Green Industry’s pre-eminent product manufacturers, offering end-users a single-application fertilizer solution impregnated with leading pre-emergent crabgrass herbicide brands.

The resulting new product allows turf professionals to fertilize once up to every six months, while getting industry-leading pre-emergent crabgrass control. The level of efficiency also allows lawn care operators to perform extra tasks on-site, or to finish up on a job site and move to the next site more quickly.

Sponsoring Hispanic Landscape Association. AAT also announced that they have reached an agreement with the National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA) to join the organization as a Supporting Member.

“We’re very pleased to be recognized as a Supporting Member of the NHLA,” said Andrew Mittag, president of AAT. “We’re proud to support the growing, dynamic and diverse Hispanic-American workforce in today’s landscape industry, sponsoring a variety of educational and workshop opportunities to continue the NHLA’s continuing education mandate.”
