A man from Richardson, Texas is getting attention on social media after a lawn care company placed a sign in his yard that shamed his overgrown grass.

Robert Stricker posted a photo on Reddit of a sign that a lawn care company put on his yard without permission. Stricker said he felt personally attacked by the sign, which reads "Your lawn was not treated today, your neighbor's was."

“I thought, what’s so bad about my lawn? It’s not the prettiest, but it felt like they were trying to shame me,” he said. “Kind of like, look how much nicer your neighbor’s lawn looks now.”

Stricker says he gets around to cutting the grass and the shrubs now and then, but isn’t ashamed to share that the city has sent him letters instructing him to mow as soon as possible.
