The National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA) congratulates its director and president of CleanScapes, Ivan Giraldo, for receiving the Ernst & Young (EY) Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 award in the service category in central Texas. The award recognizes exceptional achievements in creating and building a market-leading business that transforms the face of the industry, creates jobs and contributes to the vibrancy of communities.
Founded in 2005, CleanScapes is an award-winning full commercial landscape company based in Austin, Texas, with branches in Dallas and San Antonio. The company serves as central Texas’ premier commercial landscaper specializing in the construction and maintenance of outdoor environments.
“It is an honor to receive such a prestigious award as it attests to the importance of landscaping as an industry and it is proof of what landscape professionals can achieve,” said Giraldo. “I believe that this award reflects the collective effort of our company and our employees, and we look forward to continue encouraging the advancement of our workforce through similar achievements.”
Giraldo’s leadership permitted him to advance in the industry, allowing him to increasingly provide opportunities for his workers to grow within the company. His dedication toward his employees is reflected in his commitment towards the NHLA, which aims to facilitate the upward mobility of Hispanic Americans as professionals and entrepreneurs in the landscape industry.

As a central Texas award winner, Giraldo is now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 national program.
