Headlined by the man who masterminded the dive on the Titanic, the 2018 Green Industry & Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO) provided one of the world’s largest tire manufacturers the ideal place to take a deep dive into the outdoor equipment industry. After private-labelling tires since 1988, Wanda Tyre showcased its extensive range of branded applications for the lawn and garden, light construction and landscape equipment fields at GIE+EXPO each year since 2016. However, Wanda rolled out more tires than ever at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, at the end of October.
“We felt GIE+EXPO was the perfect place to roll out our latest tire applications to every segment of the industry,” says Helen Han, Wanda's sales manager. “Having Dr. Ballard’s keynote address was a great theme for the depth and breadth of the Wanda tire range. Being able to reach 24,000 industry professionals was a great opportunity for Wanda Tyre.”
Oceanographer and U.S. Navy Officer Dr. Robert Ballard, who discovered the Titanic wreckage, provided the keynote address as more than 1,000 exhibitors covered the 675,000 square feet inside the Kentucky Exposition Center, as well as the 20-acre outdoor demonstration area. “From all-terrain utility machines to zero-turn mowers, we have a tire for every niche of the outdoor market,” Han adds. “Wanda even has wheelbarrow tires.”
“These shows provide an international marketplace for dealers, lawn and landscape professionals, and retailers to see and demonstrate new hardscape products, lawn and garden products and outdoor power equipment,” reiterates event promoter Warren Sellers. “We had a record number of more than 24,000 participants at GIE+EXPO this year.”
