Husqvarna Hosts Second Annual Summit for Commercial Customers

Landscapers and tree-care professionals gather at Husqvarna’s Charlotte headquarters for technology demonstrations and industry trends discussions.

Husqvarna, a division of the world’s largest provider of outdoor power equipment, hosted a select group of 45 commercial customers for a four-day conference to address the latest trends and technological developments affecting the industry. The summit took place September 16-19 at Husqvarna’s Charlotte, NC, headquarters.

“Our second annual Commercial Summit was a wonderful success,” said Walt Rose, national sales manager for commercial lawn, garden and tree care customers at Husqvarna North America. “Our products are designed for professionals, by professionals, so this event is the perfect venue to share our ideas and exchange feedback with our commercial customers about how we can best support their needs.”

Attendees participated in forums focused on sharing best practices as well as hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology with Husqvarna product experts. Keynote speakers included a representative from Sebert Landscaping in Illinois, who discussed their experience incorporating battery-powered outdoor power equipment into their business.

Feedback from participants was extremely positive, Husqvarna reports. For example, Matthew Kalasnik of Yellowstone Landscape said, “Knowing that a vendor/manufacturer is actively seeking input from the field guys and is willing to listen to input (both good and bad) is an extremely positive reflection of Husqvarna as a company.”

“It was great getting to meet other industry professionals from around the country and interact with them about things that are going on in their part of the country and also to hear about some of the exciting things Husqvarna has in the works,” added Kyle McMillin of LandCare Innovations.

The Commercial Summit featured several new, professional-grade solutions that optimize operational efficiencies and provide superior performance. Highlights included:

  • Fleet Services, a cloud-based data system for landscaping professionals to manage their commercial fleets
  • Updates to Husqvarna’s Battery Series
  • Additions to Husqvarna’s pro-handheld series
  • The commercial applications of Husqvarna Automower, a line of robotic lawnmowers

Husqvarna will display these products and more at booth #9094 of the GIE+EXPO, which will take place October 19-21 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
