Firefighters quickly put out a fire that burned an acre of dry grass in Redding, California.

The fire, which broke out shortly before 9:30 a.m. near a 47-space mobile home park, was accidentally caused by a man cutting the dry grass near his mobile home.

Fifty-nine-year-old Bob Carroll, a tenant at the Paradise View Mobile Estates, said he was cutting the dry grass with a weed-trimmer to try to help protect the mobile home park in case the grassy lot caught fire.

He said he turned around while cutting the grass and saw the fire behind him.
