Former Inmate's Landscaping Business Gives Felons a Second Chance

When Eric Majors got out of prison four years ago, the struggle to find a job, reestablish his position in his family and reintegrate back into society took a mental toll.

Formerly a successful investment banker with an engineering degree, his ability to get hired diminished considerably after serving prison time for a felony conviction for insider trading.

But, he had a family to support and a sick wife, so Majors decided to start his own business. And now he's helping other ex-offenders do the same.

Majors borrowed lawn equipment from friends and family, and started landscaping neighborhoods for minimum wage. Now, roughly a year later, he has hired five other former inmates reintegrating back into society and is looking to expand into other fields.
