Another Lawn-Cutting Service Takes the Money, Runs

After a knee replacement surgery, Patti Sturing or Northville, Michigan, thought a lawn-cutting service sounded like a good idea.

Last year, the homeowner signed up for a six-month package through Greenkeepers Lawn & Landscape at a discount of $216.

But what started as a good deal, she says, turned into bad one quickly. "I waited for him to come, I waited, waited, waited," she said.

Two months after signing up, the grass grew tall, but the lawn service, Sturing says, was a no show.
