HitchDoc designed the Sandpiper self-loading hydraulic spreader as a skid-steer attachment to cast sand, salt/sand, lime, fertilizer, grass seed, wheat and brome efficiently up to 30 feet. The spreader also comes with:
- A self-loading 8- or 18-cubic-foot capacity hopper with a cutting edge.
- Three adjustable gates to control flow onto the spreader wheel.
- A rotating agitator to help bring material down to the spreader wheel and prevent bridging of material.
- A grader blade for wear protection on the self-loading edge.
- Quick-tach mounting designed to fit standard skid-steer back plates.
- Hydraulic hoses and couplings for easy setup and loading of spreader.
- Side steps for easy access to and from the cab.
- An optional sidewalk deflector kit with adjustable settings to limit spreading of material to 30 or 38 inches wide.
