John Deere posted a short audio broadcast at its website on June 10 to highlight retail activity for the month of May. Here are some highlights:
Utility Tractors: Industry sales up 6 percent, Deere up double digits. Industry inventory levels for April at 52 percent of previous 12-month sales, Deere levels lower.
Row-Crop Tractors: Industry sales down 1 percent, Deere up 1 percent. Industry inventory levels for April at 29 percent of previous 12-month sales, Deere lower.
4WD Tractors: Industry sales down 10 percent, Deere up double digits. Industry inventory levels for April at 16 percent of previous 12-month sales, Deere slightly lower.
Combines: Industry sales up 1 percent, Deere flat. Industry inventory levels for April at 12 percent of previous 12-month sales, Deere lower.
Select Turf + Utility Equipment: Deere retail sales were flat for the month.
Construction + Forestry: Deere sales were up double digits.
