The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) recently announced at their Executive Forum in Las Vegas that Roger Phelps, promotional communications manager for Stihl Inc., will be director at large for the 2010/2011 PLANET board of directors.
“PLANET is an important part of the green industry, and I am proud to play a part in the work that it does,” said Phelps. “Through marketing tools, industry specific business publications, updates on legislative issues, and networking opportunities, PLANET supports the member businesses that contribute to our communities’ green spaces and quality of life.”
Phelps participated in PLANET’s 2009 Crystal Ball committee that produced the report on the sustainability in the green industry. He was also PLANET’s 2009 Supplier Committee chair and is a member of PLANET’s government affairs, membership, PLANET Student Career Days and education committees, and was a panel member on sustainability at the 2009 Green Industry Conference.
