Nissan Sponsoring Concerts at GIE+EXPO

Country acts The Eli Young Band and The Trishas to perform at Fourth Street Live on Thursday, October 25.

Nissan Commercial Vehicles will treat attendees at the 2012 GIE+EXPO and Hardscape North America to a free concert featuring the Eli Young Band on Thursday, October 25. The evening will begin with The Trishas at 7:30 p.m., and the Eli Young Band will take the Fourth Street Live! stage at 9 p.m.

The Eli Young Band is a group of rising country stars. Already in their 11th year of performing together, the band was started in Denton, TX, by Mike Eli and James Young during their freshmen year of college. After four studio albums and one live album, they have finally gained national recognition for their hard work. Their song “Crazy Girl” was named the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards’ Song of the Year at the American Country Music Awards.

Opening for the Eli Young Band will be The Trishas, whose beautifully blended voices turn out music that has been described as occasionally rambunctious Texas country laced with gospel and a hint of soul.

“We at Nissan are excited to be a part of the GIE+EXPO concerts and bring these first-class acts to the stage on Thursday night,” said Paul Butler, marketing manager for Nissan Commercial Vehicles. “GIE+EXPO participants won’t want to miss the excitement at 4th Street Live!”

GIE+EXPO – the 9th largest tradeshow in America – is debuting a new format at the Kentucky Exposition Center this year. Wednesday, October 24, will be Dealer Day, for dealers, retailers and distributors. Thursday and Friday, October 25 and 26, will be open to all industry participants.

“High-caliber entertainment like this brings a lot of energy to the event,” said GIE+EXPO show director Warren Sellers. “We’re pleased to have Nissan Commercial Vehicles as the concert sponsor. Exhibitor support for GIE+EXPO and the industry makes events of this magnitude possible.”

Register for GIE+EXPO at www.gie-expo.com. An early-bird registration fee of $10 is being offered until September 9. After that, pre-registration will be $25. The onsite registration fee will be $50. Hardscape North America (HNA) will be co-located on the show floor on the same dates.
