Electrical Safety Charity Focuses on Power Equipment Manufacturers

The Electrical Safety First charity, (formerly known as Electrical Safety Council) has focused its efforts on equipment manufacturers with a new garden safety campaign. According to Electrical Safety First, more than 300,000 people are sent the hospital each year due to an injury sustained during lawn work. A third of those injuries are caused by electrical appliances or equipment.

Electrical Safety First has created a garden safety page on their website and is calling on lawnmower and hedgetrimmer manufacturers to improve the safety cautions and guides on product packaging and instruction manuals.
