Kentucky native and returning performer Candy Coburn will light up the stage on Friday evening, October 26, at Fourth Street Live! Candy Coburn will be the fourth performer at GIE+EXPO this year. Prior to the concert, Candy will be signing autographs at the booth of the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Candy Coburn’s most recognizable hits include “Pink Warrior,” “Enjoy the Ride” and “Rev It Up,”. Her newest single, “That Thing You Do,” is steadily climbing the charts. She also performed at GIE+EXPO in 2008.
"I am so excited to have the opportunity to be invited back to GIE+EXPO and to my awesome home state of Kentucky. I look forward to bringing an all-new show, new music and brand new album,” said Candy. “Thanks for letting us be a part of such a fun event."
The show dates are Oct. 24, Dealer Day, and Oct. 25-26 for the full industry. Other concerts this year are Kansas, 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24; and The Trishas, 7:30 p.m., and the Eli Young Band, 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25.The Thursday concerts are sponsored by Nissan Commercial Truck.
New this year, the $10,000 Friday Giveaway will start at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. A winner will be chosen every hour for a giveaway of $1,000 at 1:00 p.m., $2,000 at 2:00 p.m., $3,000 at 3:00 p.m. and $4,000 at 4:00 p.m. To be eligible, register for GIE+EXPO. An entry form will be mailed along with badges, and you can enter by returning it to the Nissan Commercial Vehicles booth (7084) by noon on Friday. Four winners will be chosen and must be present to win.
Register for GIE+EXPO and make hotel reservations at gie-expo.com/gieexpo. An early-bird registration fee of $10 is being offered until September 9. After that, pre-registration will be $25. The onsite registration fee will be $50.
Two registrants will win the online registration grand prizes – $2,000 travel packages to the show. Each package includes a $500 gift card for expenses, a luxury hotel suite for three nights in The Galt House or Seelbach Hilton Hotel, $100 in gift cards for local restaurants, $50 for souvenirs at the Visitor Information Center and VIP seating at the GIE+EXPO concerts.
And, GIE+EXPO’s Refer-a-Friend program will award an Apple iPad to one lucky winner. To enter, register online and then send an online invitation to a friend. When that person registers you will be eligible for the iPad drawing.
