AMP Lighting Launches Smart RGBCW LED Well Light

AMP Lighting expanded its AMP iQ Smart Landscape Lighting System with the Smart RGBCW LED Well Light, Powered by AMP iQ, an IP68-rated fixture that combines advanced smart lighting control with durable construction and serviceable components for residential and commercial properties. With interchangeable optics and an interchangeable LED module, the well light provides greater flexibility in both light distribution and serviceability.

The Smart RGBCW LED Well Light, Powered by AMP iQ, connects to the AMP iQ platform through Bluetooth mesh technology and is controlled through the AMP iQ mobile app. Users can adjust brightness, select tunable white settings and create millions of color combinations, while organizing fixtures into groups and zones. When paired with an AMP iQ Smart Gateway, the system also enables advanced features such as automated schedules and remote access.

AMP LightingAn interchangeable optic system allows installers to select between 38-degree and 60-degree beam spreads, providing greater control over light distribution for different landscape applications. The narrower 38-degree optic can provide focused illumination for trees, architectural elements and other vertical features, while the 60-degree optic offers broader coverage for larger focal areas.

AMP LightingThe interchangeable smart LED module is designed to simplify long-term serviceability, allowing the light source to be serviced independently rather than requiring replacement of the entire fixture. This modular approach can help extend product life and reduce the need for complete fixture replacement. Four additional faceplate options — beacon, shielded, turret and grated — are available separately, giving installers additional options for controlling the fixture's appearance and light distribution.

Smart Control & Connectivity

As part of the AMP iQ Smart Landscape Lighting System, the well light communicates with other AMP iQ devices. With industry best-in-class distances of up to 100 feet between fixtures, AMP iQ creates a robust mesh network helping extend connectivity throughout larger landscape installations. 

Through the AMP iQ mobile app, users can manage individual fixtures or organize multiple luminaires into groups and zones, with control over color, color temperature and brightness. Lighting scenes to be adjusted as landscape needs change throughout the evening or across different seasons.

The fixture offers extended white-light presets at 2200K, 2500K, 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K, along with full tunable-white control and RGBCW color capabilities. With dimming from 0% to 100%, users can create everything from subtle, warm landscape illumination to saturated colors for entertaining, events and architectural accent lighting.

Built for Outdoor Environments

The well light features solid cast brass construction and a cold-forged brass faceplate for long-term durability in demanding outdoor environments. The IP68-rated housing incorporates a watertight silicone O-ring, raised lens, watertight wire gland and fully potted wire entrance to help protect the fixture from moisture and water intrusion.

The fixture is available in bronze and black finishes. The bronze finish is designed to naturally patina over time, while the black finish features a marine-grade polyester powder coating rated for a minimum 3,000-hour salt spray test per ASTM B117.
