The 52-week Working Smarter Training Challenge offered by JP Horizons has been approved for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by PLANET. Participants will receive one credit for every one-hour in-house training session facilitated through the program—so individuals can earn up to 52 credits throughout the year. Currently, individuals are required to report 24 CEUs every two years in order to maintain the active status of their certification.
The Working Smarter Training Challenge has helped over 450 Green Industry firms reduce waste, improve efficiency and communication, and save hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past five years. “Running a loose ship and still growing like crazy is a thing of the past,” said Gregg Wartgow, Green Industry PRO magazine’s editor-in-chief. “Contractors who’ve learned to ‘work smarter’ have become, quite simply, better companies. They are more professional and more efficient. They are better marketers and salespeople. They’re more profitable. And their employees are happier. These are the companies that will still be around five to 10 years from now.”
Companies that participate in the Working Smarter Training Challenge receive a detailed lesson plan and audio coaching from JP Horizons, and then sit together with their own company leaders each week to discuss ways that they can improve everyday operations.
