Exmark Assists in Home Renovation

Exmark Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of commercial-grade lawn mowers, is helping to make the holidays a little happier for a Gage County (Nebraska) family. Exmark has donated $1,000 to help complete a Habitat for Humanity project for Neva and Earnest Jantzen. Additionally, the Toro Giving Program, the community outreach arm of Toro, Exmark’s parent company, donated a new lawn mower to the Jantzens.

The Habitat for Humanity project includes a partial renovation of Jantzen’s home to provide easy access for a power chair and walker. Doors and doorframes were widened, a new subfloor and carpeting was laid, bedrooms and bathrooms were revamped, and new roofing and gutters were installed.

“We are honored to support families and organizations in our local community,” said Rick Olson, general manager of Exmark Manufacturing. “We’re happy to play a role in assisting Neva and Earnest with modifying their home for an improved quality of living.”

A ceremony and open house were hosted to mark completion of the project. Exmark employees, Habitat for Humanity representatives and members of the community had the chance to tour and celebrate the work.

The Jantzen home renovation began in June 2010 and was completed in early December.
