Three Mitsubishi Meiki Gasoline Engines Meet Emission Controls

Two lightweight two-cycle models in Mitsubishi Meiki’s TLE Series, along with one four-cycle model in the GB Series, feature Mitsubishi’s proprietary design elements to help achieve a high-efficiency, low fuel-consumption engine.

The 22.4cc TLE24 and 25.6cc TLE27 two-cycle engines feature stratified scavenging. The 215cc GB220 four-cycle engine features a pent roof-shaped combustion chamber.

“The addition of these new two-cycle engines gives the OEM engine customer five 2-cycle engines from 22.4cc to 47.1cc that meet the Tier III CARB and EPA Phase III emissions regulations,” said Don Kyle, Mitsubishi’s North American business development consultant. “Also, the GB220 was developed to accommodate requests for a higher-power engine used in tillers, mowers and construction equipment that meets all CARB and EPA emission standards.”
