U.S. Construction Spending Picks up in April

April construction improved over March, but was still 10% lower than April 2009.

During the first four months of this year, construction spending amounted to $249.6 billion, 13.2 percent (+/- 1.1%) below the $287.5 billion for the same period in 2009.
