Ferris unveiled a couple of new commercial mowers at GIE+EXPO 2012. The IS 600Z and IS 700Z replace the longstanding IS 500 and IS 1500 models. The company says these two new mowers offer superior cutting power at a superior value.
The IS 600Z features a patent-pending steering system with solid rods and sealed ball bearing pivots to deliver longer-lasting, smooth control. A 44- or 48-inch deck is available. The mower is powered by either a 27-gross-hp* Briggs & Stratton Professional Series or 18.5-gross-hp** Kawasaki FS600V engine.
The IS 700Z features the same patent-pending steering system. Available in a 52- or 61-inch deck, this model is powered by either a 28-gross hp* Vanguard Big Block, 28-gross hp* Briggs & Stratton Commercial Turf Series, 23.5-gross hp** Kawasaki FS730V, or 23-gross hp** Kawasaki FS691V engine.
Both mowers feature the patented Ferris independent suspension system.
Suggested retail on the 600Z is $4,999. The 770Z is suggested to retail for $5,999.
