Worldlawn Power Equipment and its subsidiary Encore Power Equipment each displayed their full ranges of commercial and high-end residential mowing equipment at GIE+EXPO 2013. Of particular interest were the two brands' new models of walk-behind/stand-on mowers.
Both the Worldlawn Venom and Encore Rage feature a platform at the rear of the machine so operators can comfortably ride along in a standing position. Then, operators can also fold the platform up if they would rather walk behind the mower. Folding up the platform also comes in handy for storage and trailer transport.
"We introduced our two stand-on mowers in mid-spring, so we just missed the big selling season this past year," says Jamie Ware, general sales and marketing manager for Worldlawn Power Equipment. "But we're excited about these products. Our thought process is that, with many of the commercial stand-on mowers out there, they are in the $9,000 to $10,000 range. We see the stand-on mower as more of a hydro walk-behind with a standing platform. We've tried to keep our design as simple as possible with as few moving parts as possible. The suggested retail price on our mowers is $5,799. There are other brands and models out there for around $6,000. But ours are the only ones with Kawasaki engines. So we feel like we have something pretty special."
Both the Venom and Rage offer the following features
- 52-inch, 7-gauge-steel, floating cutting deck
- 23.5-hp Kawasaki FX730V engine
- Up to 3.55-mph forward speed
- Weighs 750 pounds
- 72 inches long, 62 inches with platform folded up
- 5-gallon fuel tank
- Dual pumps and wheel motors
