Equip Expo 2023 is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and housing for the show  is officially open.

Show organizers are stressing the importance of booking a hotel room early for the event. The event held Oct. 17-20, 2023 at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC), will most likely sell out its exhibit space and so will the area’s hotels because this happened last year as well. Louisville Tourism is also the official housing provider for Equip Expo this year.

“Book your hotel rooms today. Seriously,” said Kris Kiser, President of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, which owns and manages the trade show. “Last year, we had a record, sellout show with a long waiting list. Given this year is our 40th anniversary, we’re expecting another record breaker in attendance and exhibit space bookings. We’re going to have another banner year. We’re already fielding more than 60 exhibitor expansion requests, and the KEC halls are full."

For the first time ever, the show is expanding into the West Wing of the KEC.

From Equip Expo:

  • In addition to the KEC’s 30-acre Outdoor Demo Yard, expansive indoor exhibit space, downtown Louisville will be a happening place for Expo this year and downtown hotels, in particular, will fill up within weeks.
  • A new arena concert at the Yum! Center featuring headline band, Third Eye Blind.
  • A Welcome Party at the downtown Kentucky International Convention Center adjacent to the downtown Marriott and Hyatt hotels with a concert from Expo house band, The Crashers.
  • Last year, Equip Expo attracted more than 25,000 attendees who hailed from all 50 states and 49 countries, with the furthest traveling attendees journeying from Guam, New Zealand and Australia.
  • The show brings over $20 million in revenue to Louisville and books more than 32,000 hotel rooms during show week.
