Aquascape Inc. welcomes all water feature artists to submit their work for a chance to be recognized as Artist of the Year. This award is typically reserved internally for Certified Aquascape Contractors but now all pond builders are in contention.

For submission, contractors post photos or videos of their finest projects on social media tagging Aquascape Artists of the Year and using the hashtag #aoty2020 from now through June 30, 2020. The new selection process for this award aims to laud and acknowledge the best water feature artists in the world regardless of the products they use.

“I’m ecstatic to extend the consideration of this award to pond builders everywhere,” says Greg Wittstock, founder and CEO of Aquascape Inc. “For the first time, we’re letting the general public weigh in by voting on their favorite collection of entries. Previously, our internal panel of judges determined the award’s recipient.”

He said the new selection process provides all professionals and water gardening hobbyists an opportunity to voice their opinion and advocate for their favorite water feature artists.”

Past winners of the Aquascape Artist of the Year award include Chris Siewing of Nature’s Re-Creations in Arnold, MO; John Adams of Modern Design Aquascaping in Friendsville, TN; Jaak Harju of Atlantis Water Gardens in Morris Plains, NJ; Joey Genovese of Genoscape Inc. in Markham, ON; Alan Decker of Decker Pondscapes in Pattersonville, NY; Weston Zimmerman of Tussey Landscaping in Hollidaysburg, PA; Dan Harp of Mark The Pond Guy in Puyallup, WA; Patrick Handley of Waterscapes Australia in Queensland, AU.
