Classen's new self-propelled Pro HTS20 Hydro-Drive Overseeder features tight blade placement, providing 13 seed rows in a 20-inch swath for a thicker coverage. According to Classen, the unit’s double-edge, double-blade reel spaces the blades a narrow 1.5 inches apart to provide greater than 15% more rows of seed than competitive units.
Other key features include:
- Depth can be set in any of 10 settings from 0-1.625 inches
- 40-pound-capacity floating seed box that follows the contours of the terrain; also locks in place for hill or slope seeding
- Seed agitator inside the seed box breaks up seed clumps
- 9-hp Honda engine offers operating speeds as fast as 3 mph forward and 1.5 mph reverse
- Single-lever forward/reverse controls on the handle for easier operation
- Clear seed box cover allows the operator to monitor seed levels
- For minimal maintenance and longer life, the unit’s blade shaft features greasable cast iron bearings
