Developed for long-term reliability, the Kohler XTX Series is the company’s first engine that does not require an oil change for the life of the engine. Designed for use on walk-behind mowers, this new engine also integrates several premium features as well as an operator-centric design for user-friendly performance.
Durable, yet lightweight construction is at the forefront of the XTX Series, Kohler points out. The engine utilizes a cool-running overhead valve (OHV) design and tough cast-iron cylinder bore to allow mowers to stand up to harsh conditions.
Other key, Kohler-exclusive features include:
Accu-Fill – Engines with Accu-Fill incorporate an optimized angled neck with an opening that is 45% larger than many other engines.
Smart-Choke – Priming and choking the engine are no longer required with Kohler’s Smart-Choke technology. This unique system automatically manages the start-up process, so there is no risk of flooding the engine. The user can simply pull the rope and go.
Consistent-Cut Technology – This proprietary system delivers more consistent power to the mower deck in tough conditions, which translates to less clumping. With Consistent-Cut technology, end-users can easily power through the thick, wet grass that often stalls other mowers, Kohler assures.
Easy-Pull Recoil – Incorporating a pulley that is 13% larger, Easy-Pull provides smooth, effortless starting, Kohler says.
